Synergia Socioambiental was present at the V Brazilian Conference on Climate Change (CBMC) and participated in discussions on facing climate challenges and possible solutions for a sustainable future . The online event, an initiative of the Ethos Institute, was broadcast on the Ethos Institute’s YouTube channel , on August 15th.
Composed of panels and debates, the fifth edition of the CBMC had the participation of experts on topics such as fair energy transition , climate resilience, climate management in Brazil and the National Plan for Adaptation to Climate Change , Environmental Education, inclusion of climate education in Brazilian legislation and bioeconomy, among others.
Leonardo Barbosa, project coordinator and specialist in Environmental Education at Synergia Socioambiental, presented the panel “ Paths to Sustainability: Environmental Education, Territories and Climate Change ”. In it, Leonardo told a little more about the methodology for building educational activities with a focus on the interconnection between territories and climate change , with the aim of promoting environmental awareness .

On his panel, Leonardo Barbosa spoke about the contribution of Environmental Education to strengthening the public debate on issues related to climate change and highlighted the “importance of mapping relationships and impacts within strategic areas, involving the population in dialogue to build climate solutions ”. Last year, at the fourth edition of CBMC , Synergia was also present. On the occasion, Maria Albuquerque , CEO and founder of the company, participated in the event’s opening panel. In addition, Paula Raquel Bezerra and Leonardo Barbosa, members of Synergia’s Socio-environmental Education Center , presented the panel “ Environmental Education: a way to face the climate crisis ”.
