Synergia is selected for the 1st International Congress on Interdisciplinary Environmental Education

The 1st International Congress on Interdisciplinary Environmental Education ( I CINEAI ) , with the theme: Necessary Sustainable Development , will take place between November 22nd and 25th, in Juazeiro (BA). The purpose of the event is to promote exchange, exchange of experiences and dissemination of work developed in teams or individually, through workshops, round tables, short courses, lectures and other activities.

The congress will have actions for the education and training of students, teachers, researchers, environmentalists and other interested people. Synergia was selected to present at the workshop on Participatory Methodologies in the Context of Environmental Education , which is among the actions of the event.

The workshop will be presented by Leonardo Barbosa, specialist in Environmental Education at Synergia, and by Fernanda Mendes de Carvalho, project coordinator at Synergia. The aim is to address participatory techniques for group work capable of developing collaborative projects .

The facilitators will lead the presentation of four participatory techniques for specific moments of an Environmental Education work. Are they:

• Social cartography and world  café  (diagnosis phase);
• Tree of problems and solutions (diagnosis and construction of actions phases);
• V enn diagram ( partnership survey) .

For Leonardo Barbosa, participation in the International Congress on Environmental Education is an opportunity to share accumulated practical experience : “We will seek to share our practical experiences and success stories in the area of ​​Environmental Education, providing concrete examples that workshop participants will be able to apply in their own contexts”, he points out.

It is important to highlight that Synergia has a Nucleus of Educators dedicated especially to the themes of Social and Environmental Education, always attentive to the development of new methods and approaches that bring knowledge and effective learning in our areas of operation. The Nucleus team prepared a series of articles seeking to clarify the context and relevance of Environmental Education in contemporary society.

The International Congress of Environmental Education

The first edition of the International Congress on Interdisciplinary Environmental Education (I CINEIAI) is an initiative of the Green School Project (PEV) and the Research Group on Interdisciplinary Environmental Education at (Univasf).

The event will be held at the Multievents Complex, on the Juazeiro campus, in Bahia, together with the VI Brazilian Congress on Interdisciplinary Environmental Education (Cobeai) and the IX Workshop on Interdisciplinary Environmental Education (WEAI) .
