The construction of four projects located in the neighborhoods of Vila Mariana and Saúde, in Greater São Paulo, affected the quality of life in the neighborhood. The emission of noise, traffic in heavy vehicles and questions about the safety and depreciation of the properties in the surrounding areas generated uncertainties that led to conflicts with local residents.
Synergia was responsible for carrying out a socio-environmental diagnosis that integrated the mapping and characterization of the territorial dynamics, the urban, social and environmental values recognized by the neighborhood. From the deepening of issues such as public security, transportation, education, health, demography and access to services, it was possible to understand the needs of the neighborhood.
The survey of the socio-cultural and economic profile of the surrounding community, and their perception of the developments, enabled the establishment of dialogue and a relationship of trust with the community.
The diagnosis indicated guidelines and strategies for the Social Investment Program to be defined by the entrepreneurs, identifying the prioritized social demands. Through it, it was also possible to offer recommendations for the Communication Plan for housing projects, with the objective of establishing harmony between residents and the enterprise.
